Even losing an hour or two of sleep every night can make a big difference in your mental energy for the day. It is time to set yourself a consistent sleep schedule to keep. It takes about 15 minutes to fall asleep. So, if you plan on going to bed at 10:30 pm, start falling asleep at 10:15 pm. You can make a sleep Journal of how this new sleep schedule has helped you. You will notice that your memory has improved, your anxiety has reduced, and you will be in a better mood.

You may need a mental positive vocabulary makeover. This means that instead of thinking negative thoughts about yourself, you can learn to stay on the positive side. For example, instead of saying to yourself, “If I get that promotion,” you can instead say “When I get that promotion.” These subtle changes can make a big difference in viewing things in a more positive life. You can also try saying one positive thing to yourself in the mirror every morning to feel happier for the rest of the day. A happier you in 2020 is a life worth living.
