Brian Samford, PhD, LMFT, LCDC, became licensed as a Chemical Dependency Counselor in 1997 and as a Marriage and Family Therapist in 2001. Over the course of his career, he has served in a variety of roles, including private practice therapist, Clinical Director, Executive Director, and owner. His professional experience spans numerous respected institutions, such as Vernon State Hospital, Lubbock State School, Southwest Institute for Addictive Diseases, John…hical work environments that help employees feel they are part of something special.

Above all, Dr. Samford’s greatest passion is working with families—guiding them through the complex challenges associated with mental health and addiction, and empowering them to find hope and healing together.

Dr. Samford is an avid runner who finds solace and inspiration on gravel roads and wide-open landscapes. When not working, he cherishes his time at his family farm in North Texas, where he takes pride in maintaining the land, working on hands-on projects, and embracing the peaceful, restorative environment. His passion for connection to the land reflects his appreciation for both physical activity and the simple joys of rural life.
