Now that the weekend is over, it is time to get back to work on Monday and do your best. However, sometimes Sunday nights can feel sluggish or put you down. Perhaps you are anxious, stressed, or depressed about the week ahead. While you cannot control everything that happens to you, there are things you can do to get your week started on the right foot

“Every Day in Every Way, I am Getting Better.”

Recovery is a long journey that can sometimes make you feel stuck. The days you don’t feel like you are healing can leave you feeling quite discouraged. However, keep in mind that you are healing a little more every day and are a step closer to the person you have always wanted to be.

“I Can Heal and I Will Heal.”

Never forget that you hold inside of you the capabilities to help you get sober and heal from addiction. Remind yourself that you are capable of healing and then decide daily to heal. Doing this can help you stay on track and stay focused.

“I am Not Defined by my Past.”

Everyone has mistakes they made in the past. The goal is to learn from those mistakes to improve your future life. Go into the week with a positive outlook for your future and remember that you are not the person you used to be.

“Failure is a Part of Success.”

Even when you feel as though you have been knocked down and cannot get back up, remember that it is a part of your success story every time you fall. You may not be able to control what comes your way, but you can control how you respond to it. Choose to get back up, learn from your mistakes, and stay on the path to success.

“I am Resilient and Deserving of Good Things.”

Sometimes it can be easy to wallow in the memory of your past mistakes. However, you should know that you are a human being, and for that reason, you do deserve good things. Remind yourself that you can heal and work toward your dreams and goals.
